This page lists the possible tasks that can be assigned to a ped. Only a subset can be assigned to player. You can use these with getPedTask and getPedSimplestTask.
There are two types on tasks - simple and complex tasks. Simple tasks make the player do something, complex tasks contain a number of simple tasks that are triggered one after the other to produce some effect.
