Map Editor Specifications
Purpose
The purpose of the map editor is to provide a user-friendly way to create elements and export them as .map files into resources.
Specifications
A user-friendly GUI that allows the user to:
- create new elements
- by entering an ID
- by browsing through them
- browse existing elements (and select or delete them)
- test the map
- load, merge, and save projects
- perform frequently done tasks with as little effort as possible
The ability to easily select, move, and place elements
- using a free camera to click and drag elements with the camera
- using a fixed camera to click and drag elements with the cursor
- using keyboard to move elements along the X and Y axes
