With a gamespeed smaller than 1 you can use a fade smaller than 1. 
"Any number less than 1 makes the fade instant." isn't right when gamespeed is lower than 1.
Example: timeToFade 0.3 at gamespeed 0.1 is like 3 seconds at gamespeed 1
