This function attempts to write a double into a file/stream and returns how many bytes have actually been written. The amount of bytes written should be eight.
Syntax
int file:writeDouble ( double value )
Arguments
- value: a number to write into the file/stream using double floating point precision; this is the highest precision and range possible
Returns
Returns the amount of bytes written during the write operation. Returns false if value is not a valid number type.
