This function deletes a part of text from the edit by index.

Syntax

bool dgsEditInsertText ( element theElement, int index, string text )

Required Arguments

  • theElement: The edit to be changed.
  • index: An integer indicated where the text will be inserted into the edit ( start from 0 ).
  • text: A string that you want to insert into the edit.

Returns

Returns true if the text is inserted into the edit successfully, false otherwise.

Example

DGS = exports.dgs
edit = DGS:dgsCreateEdit(500,200,200,300,"This is a dgs-dxedit",false)
DGS:dgsEditInsertText(edit,1,"Here is DGS")
